TEFLON - PTFE
PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene, known by the brand name Teflon) is an engineering plastic with the highest chemical resistance of all common materials. It operates within a temperature range of -200 to +260 °C, is resistant to both acids and alkalis, and is non-stick and self-lubricating.
What is PTFE / Teflon used for?
Seals for pumps and valves in the chemical industry, insulation in electrical engineering, lubricant-free sliding bearings, liners for food and pharmaceutical equipment (FDA-certified), and the manufacture of laboratory equipment.
What we offer
- PTFE sheets in various thicknesses for cutting to size
- Rods and circular cross-sections for turning parts
- PTFE tubes for bushings and insulation
- Sealing cords (round, braided, expanded)
- Self-adhesive tapes for sliding bearings
- PTFE O-rings for chemically aggressive environments
How to choose
PTFE is manufactured in the following grades: virgin (pure), filled (with fillers — glass, bronze, carbon) and expanded (ePTFE). Virgin PTFE is usually sufficient for static seals; for dynamic applications, choose filled variants for better wear resistance. The choice depends on the operating temperature, pressure and chemical compatibility with the medium.
