What the bearing code means
First digit/letter = design type, subsequent digits = size series and internal diameter (×5 mm for series 60–64). Suffixes after the hyphen: 2RS = sealed on both sides with rubber seals, 2Z (ZZ) = double-sided metal cover, C3 = increased radial clearance, P5/P6 = higher precision.
How to select a bearing
Always specify: inner diameter (mm — shaft diameter), outer diameter (mm — bore in the housing), width (mm). To replace a bearing, simply read the code from the side face. For a new selection, consider: the direction and magnitude of the load, speed, operating temperature and service life requirements. For standard applications: SKF / FAG; for price and availability: ZVL / ZKL / IBB.
