Dimensions and interchangeability

The designation 6005 is an international standard (ISO 15), so a 6005 bearing from any manufacturer always has the same dimensions of 25 × 47 × 12 mm and is mechanically interchangeable. They differ only in terms of seal design, clearance, precision and service life. When replacing a worn part, you can therefore choose a different brand to the one used in the original machine.

How to choose

The dimensions are the same for all 6005 bearings, so the environment is the deciding factor: 2RS sealed bearings for dusty and damp conditions, 2Z shielded bearings for clean and high-speed applications, and C3 clearance for heating or press-fitting with an overlap.
