Packing cords – soft, flexible seals for sealing demountable static joints or as dynamic seals for pump and valve chambers. We offer these cords in a wide range of materials – ceramic, glass, PTFE, graphite, aramid, acrylic and cotton fibres. They may be lubricated with inert/silicone lubricant, mineral oil or grease, or be completely lubricant-free. Alternatively, they may have a core made of silicone, Viton or NBR. The manufacturing process involves braiding, twisting or crocheting multi-strand cords or tapes, in some cases reinforced with stainless steel wire.
Static seals or insulation
Sealing cords or insulating cords can be used across a wide temperature range. They can be used not only as seals or insulation, but also to fill gaps. They are characterised by high resistance to liquids. They are adaptable (flexible) and elastic, depending on the type of manufacture. Based on the above properties, sealing cords or insulating cords are ideally suited for simple and effective sealing of joints.
We supply them in square, rectangular or circular profiles in a wide range of sizes
