Oil seal (Simmering) – a shaft seal used to seal a rotating shaft
and the surrounding space from gaseous or liquid media. The oil seal consists of
an elastomer part (NBR, FPM, SI,…), a metal reinforcement, and a tension spring
that ensures correct radial pressure of the sealing lip.
Oil seal dimensions are given by three parameters: shaft inner diameter,
outer diameter of the oil seal, and height of the oil seal.

VIAS design – the elastic outer cover compensates for thermal expansion
and surface roughness in the housing.
VIAS type is used for standard sealing of liquid and gaseous media
in applications with higher thermal load.
VIAS type is equipped with an additional dust lip, unlike the VIA type.
Material design (VIAS) of the sealing lip: FP (fluorocarbon rubber).
