Oil seal (Simmering) – a shaft seal used to seal a rotating shaft
and the surrounding space from gaseous or liquid media. The oil seal consists of
an elastomer part (NBR, FPM, SI,…), a metal reinforcement, and a tension spring
that ensures correct radial pressure of the sealing lip.
Oil seal dimensions are given by three parameters: shaft inner diameter,
outer diameter of the oil seal, and height of the oil seal.

WB design – features a metal casing which enables easier
mounting in the housing, but requires tighter tolerances of the installation space.
WB type is used for standard sealing of liquid and gaseous media.
Material design (WB) of the sealing lip: NBR (nitrile butadiene rubber).
