NARROW WRAPPED V-BELTS SPB/16 (16.3)
V-belts are the most widely used element of mechanical power transmission for transferring rotary motion and mechanical energy from one shaft to another. Applications range from small household machines, compressors, blowers and production lines, to drives in cars, machinery and agriculture.
The basic range of wrapped V-belts is complemented by the narrow profile (SPZ, SPA, SPB and SPC), which is structurally derived from and replaces the classic cross-sections Z/10, A/13, B/17 and C/22. The narrow profile transmits up to 100 % more power than the classic profile.
Parameters for identifying belt size and type:
La Outer length (circumference).
Li Inner length (circumference).
Lw = Lp = Ld Pitch length. Measured along the circumference of the neutral fibre, which retains the same length during belt bending (approx. 2/3 of belt height).
b = 16.3 mm Outer base width of the belt.
h = 13 mm Belt height.
bw = 14 mm Pitch width — belt width at the neutral fibre.
α = 40° Wedge angle, measured on the straight section in tensioned state.
