NARROW RAW-EDGE COGGED V-BELTS XPA/12.5 (12.7)
V-belts are the most widely used element of mechanical power transmission for transferring rotary motion and mechanical energy from one shaft to another. Applications range from small household machines, compressors, blowers and production lines, to drives in cars, machinery and agriculture.
The basic range of narrow raw-edge cogged V-belts is supplied in cross-sections XPZ, XPA, XPB, XPC. The raw-edge profile represents the highest-performance type of V-belts currently produced. Narrow raw-edge V-belts are used in new drive constructions or as replacements for lower-performance belts where higher power transmission is needed, or where longer service intervals between belt changes are required.

Parameters for identifying belt size and type:
La Outer length (circumference).
Li Inner length (circumference).
Lw = Lp = Ld Pitch length. Measured along the circumference of the neutral fibre, which retains the same length during belt bending (approx. 2/3 of belt height).
b = 12.7 mm Outer base width of the belt.
h = 10 mm Belt height.
bw = 11 mm Pitch width — belt width at the neutral fibre.
α = 36° Wedge angle, measured on the straight section in tensioned state.
