Bearing 6008

The 6008 bearing is a single-row ball bearing measuring 40 × 68 × 15 mm (inner diameter 40 mm, outer diameter 68 mm, width 15 mm). We stock 19 variants, 15 of which are in stock and ready for dispatch within 24 hours. Prices start at 45 Kč and vary depending on the manufacturer and variant.

Dimensions and interchangeability

The designation 6008 is an international standard (ISO 15), so a 6008 bearing from any manufacturer always has the same dimensions of 40 × 68 × 15 mm and is mechanically interchangeable. They differ only in terms of seal design, clearance, precision and service life. When replacing a worn part, you can therefore choose a different brand to the one originally fitted in the machine.

Variants we stock

  • 6008 2RS – double-sided rubber seals – for dusty and damp environments
  • 6008 2RS1 – double-sided rubber seal (SKF designation)
  • 6008 LLU – double-sided rubber seal (NTN designation)
  • 6008 2Z – double-sided metal cover – lower friction, higher speeds
  • 6008 ZZ – double-sided sheet metal cover (NTN designation)
  • 6008 C3 – increased radial clearance – for higher temperatures and interference fits
  • 6008 NR – groove including supplied retaining ring

Without a suffix, this is an open bearing without seals — the most economical option for clean and permanently lubricated mountings.

Manufacturers

For the 6008 designation, we offer the following brands: SKF, NTN, NSK, ZVL, ZKL, IBB, KG and MICH. ZVL or ZKL are sufficient for standard operation; for demanding and high-speed applications, we recommend SKF, NTN or NSK.

How to choose

The dimensions are identical for all 6008 bearings, so the environment is the deciding factor: the 2RS type with seals for dusty and damp conditions, the 2Z type with a cover for clean and high-speed applications, and the C3 tolerance for heating or press-fitting with an interference fit.
