Typical applications include covers made from pressed sheet steel (distributor covers and oil sumps), where good oil resistance and the ability to withstand significant joint movement are required. It withstands low-pressure testing almost immediately, even before the product has begun to cure. The thixotropic nature of LOCTITE® SI 5900® prevents it from running off the application site. LOCTITE SI 5900 has excellent adhesion to an exceptionally wide range of plastic materials, as well as to glass, ceramics and metals.
