Simmerring – a shaft seal used to seal a rotating shaft
and the surrounding area against gaseous or liquid media. The simmering consists of
an elastomeric part (NBR, FPM, SI, etc.), a metal reinforcement, and a tension spring,
which ensures the correct radial contact pressure of the sealing lip.
The dimensions of the simmering are specified by three parameters: the inner diameter of the shaft,
the outer diameter of the simmering, and the height of the simmering.

WAS design – the elastic outer jacket eliminates thermal expansion
and surface roughness in the housing.
The WAS type is used for standard sealing of liquid and gaseous media; the WAS type
is fitted with a dust-proof lip, unlike the WA type.
Material of the sealing lip (WAS): NBR (nitrile butadiene rubber).
