Loctite AA325 1 litre structural adhesive
Loctite AA325
structural adhesive
This adhesive is designed for bonding metal or ceramic rigid components that fit tightly together and are subject to thermal cycling. Loctite AA325 cures in a thin joint with the aid of an activator. To reduce the curing time and ensure reliable curing, it is recommended to apply Activator 7075 to one of the surfaces before bonding. The recommended joint width is 0.1 mm. If the joint is wider (up to a maximum of 0.5 mm), it is advisable to apply the activator to both surfaces to be bonded.
NOT RECOMMENDED:
- use in purely oxygen-based or oxygen-rich systems; it should not be used for sealing chlorine or other strongly oxidising materials, nor for use on plastics (particularly not on thermoplastics, where stress cracking
may occur)
- where aqueous solutions are used to clean surfaces prior to bonding, it is important to check the compatibility of the cleaning solution and the product. In some cases, aqueous solutions may adversely affect the curing and properties of the product. For the best possible bonding result, the surfaces to be bonded should be
Properties:
- appearance (uncured): clear, dark brown liquid
- curing: anaerobic with an activator
- curing advantages: cures at room temperature
- operating temperature: -55 to +120 °C
