RIBBED BELTS – PJ/J TYPE RIBBED
SLEEVES Ribbed belts are used primarily in drives with a high transmission ratio (1:40) where small-diameter pulleys (from 13 mm) are required, as well as in drives with multiple pulleys or sheaves. A further advantage is that they can be fitted to equipment requiring a higher circumferential speed (60 m/s) and a high-performance, compact transmission. The PJ/J ribbed belt is made from CR rubber and PA fabric. Temperature resistance: –30°C to +80°C.
Ribbed belts are manufactured as a tube, from which we then use a specialised cutting machine to produce the required belt with the specified number of ribs.

Parameters for identifying the dimensions and type of PJ/J belt
e = 2.34 mm Pitch between individual teeth
h = 3.40 mm Belt height

incline If you have an existing belt and the marking is legible, proceed as follows: ‘PJ’ (e.g. PJ914) indicates dimensions in mm, or if the marking is the letter ‘J’ (e.g. J360), it indicates dimensions in inches. Next, count the number of ribs. Please note! Do not confuse the number of ribs with the number of grooves. The belt marking always specifies the number of ribs (protruding wedges).

Ordering instructions: find the correct type, then ensure you have the required length, and finally enter the number of ribs in the ‘Quantity’ field. For example, if you are ordering 2 PJ914-3-rib belts, please enter 6 in the ‘Quantity’ field and specify ‘2 pieces of PJ 914 – 3 ribs’ in the comments.
