RIBBED BELTS – RIBBED SLEEVES TYPE PJ/J
Ribbed belts are mainly used in drives with high gear ratios (1:40) where small-diameter pulleys (from 13 mm) must be fitted, and also in drives with multiple pulleys or idlers. Another advantage is that they can be fitted to equipment requiring higher peripheral speed (60 m/s) and compact high-performance transmission. The PJ/J ribbed belt is made of CR rubber and PA fabric. Temperature resistance: -30 °C to +80 °C.
Ribbed belts are manufactured as a sleeve, from which we will produce the requested belt with the specified number of ribs on a dedicated cutting machine.
Standard types supplied:
rubber: PH, PJ/J, PK, PL, PM
polyurethane: TB2
Parameters for identifying the size and type of PJ/J belt:
e = 2.34 mm Pitch between individual teeth
h = 3.40 mm Belt height
α = 40° Wedge angle
If you have an existing belt and can read its marking, proceed as follows: „PJ" (example PJ914) marking in mm, or the marking with the letter „J" (example J360) in inches. Then count the number of ribs. Note! Do not confuse the number of ribs with the number of grooves. The belt designation always indicates the number of ribs (protruding wedges).

Ordering instructions: find the correct type, ensure the required length, then enter the number of ribs in the quantity field. For example, if ordering 2 belts of PJ914-3 ribs, please enter 6 in the quantity field and note „2 pcs PJ 914 – 3 ribs" in the comment.
